I REALLY like that it supports iOS 6.0 and older, so I can use my iPod 4G to record. I also like that it can be accessed on most platforms, so it is inter-device. I havent really found any problem with the app as of now.

I have three cameras on my account. The app is a great way to monitor my home, inside and out. I made a mistake when I added a third camera and Mike at Manything was helpful to get my error corrected. I highly recommend this as a very inexpensive way to keep an eye on my property. Update: I now have five cameras. There is no way to go wrong with this app. It even caught a criminal when the local police department wanted footage off one of my cameras. They remarked at how great the resolution was and wanted info on Manything. If you have issues, their highly knowledgeable tech support department will stay at it until resolved. Update: The new version is incredibly faster! Thanks for keeping it simple. Very cost-effective security solution.
Had been using the free version of this app for a few months... found it to be a bit glitchy but was thinking about upgrading at some point. Suddenly, Manything removes the ability to record from the free app without letting me know. Not cool. I dont like to be baited and now they want to nickel & dime for recording capabilities. What they dont tell you is that it is very easy to eat up all your recording allocation with things like changes in light level & changes in sound level (if you use sound triggers).
Useless now with no free basic recording. Only live viewing for free.
You can view live video. But wont let you play the saved motion clips unless you pay. ::yawn::
Started using this app with two (2) old iPhone 5s we had. Noted a few weeks after we started that one of the iPhones facing the east sunrise had swelled open; the case popped open and was warm to touch. We figured this was due to sun conditions and opted to just use the remaining phone via this app. Just found today that the 2nd iPhone case has bulged and swelled open. Please note that on the 2nd phone we used the recommended sun shield to ensure that the suns heat was not a factor. Please note also that FOR BOTH PHONES, we used the APPLE OEM CHARGERS ONLY. I followed the apps FAQ directions precisely as to how to set up & use the phones. In short, we tried this for several months and completely ruined two (2) iPhone 5 phones in the process. This is a classic case of "if it sounds too good to be true...". Strongly recommend NOT using this app as described.
Thank you for creating this app. It took me less than 10 minutes to set up. As someone who lives alone a lot of the time, this gives me some peace of mind that my home is safe and I can check in on my pet. I am absolutely floored by the sheer genius of this app.
Cant flip the camera anymore to the front and back cameras...fix please
Not sure if it doesnt work with IPhone 5 but ever since the upgrade I cant view anything. The motion captures snapshots but the screen just keeps searching for signal. Also when are they going to add zoom feature?
After trial you can no longer watch recorded video. Pretty much useless. You are notified there is motion, but can no longer watch the video without paying the monthly fee. I would rather purchase security cameras and pay the monthly monitoring fee to have more coverage area.
Please fix this. The update to fix did not work.
As with all streaming camera apps, the unit will overheat and send your iPhone battery to Galaxy heaven. My iPhone5 battery did not explode but it expanded and pushed the screen out. I resorted to replacing the battery and my screen is back to normal height and no more Manything use.
love manything. ive been using it for about a year and its been great. however, i just got an old iPod off eBay, anticipating on using it as a camera for my family room. however, the one thing i forgot to check is if the iOS is compatible. sadly, it is not. it only has iOS 4. its be nice if an update would come out to support iOS 4 and 5. overall, great app and can still appreciate using it on the devices with iOS 6 and later.
These guys have produced a fantastic product. The service and the software work great and the price is very reasonable compared to Nestcam. Anyone with an old iPhone or iPod Touch should be using this app. On top of that, they offer fantastic IFTTT integration, much better than Nestcams IFTTT integration.
I love the app integration IFFT. However the application is limited, I have been trying to use it to record my backyard at night since we had bear issues and the application does not have night mode. Also even with the iPad plugged in it drains my battery completely so its usually offline due to high power usage even on standby mode So due to that I cannot see myself paying a subscription and because I have the free version anything that it does record I cant view it anyway.
When its online its awesome, but the cameras keep going offline for no apparent reason resulting in lots of downtime.
Its ok but the app disconnects from other iPhone cameras and goes offline. So while being away, you can no longer view what you want to see or hear. The good part is thats its free but you get what you paid for. Would give this app a 5 star if the cameras didnt go offline while in use.
So far the app works like a charm. The notifications are immediate. The audio and video quality is great. It also has a ton of features for a free app. I recommend it 100%
I have used manything for a while now and was very happy with it. Since the last update it has stopped working. It never connects, just hangs at the "connecting" point. It does show a current still picture from my old iPhone 4 but never goes live. Hope they can fix whatever they broke.
We use an old iPhone 4s as our camera. The app on the 4s crashes so much that its no longer dependable. I thought that giving a purpose to old phones was the point of manything?
